The project focuses on three main axes: the creation of climate refuges in 12 municipalities to enhance thermal comfort in public spaces; the development of a network of fluvial cycle tourism routes along the Xúquer, Magre, Sellent, and Albaida rivers, which will include smart signage and a digital platform; and the recovery of recreational areas and natural spaces in 9 municipalities, many of which were affected by the DANA in October 2024.
These actions are part of the Cohesion Action between Destinations of the Valencian Community (ACD-CV), funded by the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan (PRTR), specifically Component 14, dedicated to the Modernization and Competitiveness Plan for the Tourism Sector. The grant was awarded by the Conselleria d’Indústria, Turisme, Innovació i Comerç of the Generalitat Valenciana.
