The Guardia Civil has arrested a 53-year-old man in La Pobla Llarga for carrying a firearm disguised as a credit card and for possessing other prohibited items.

Officers identified the man on July 12th while inspecting a restaurant establishment in the Ribera Alta town. The individual's suspicious behavior led officers to search him, at which point they found a firearm disguised as a credit card branded "lifecard" in his pocket. They also confiscated three 7.65 caliber cartridges and one inert cartridge.
Subsequently, with judicial authorization, the arrestee's home was searched. There, civil guards discovered eleven .22 caliber cartridges, compatible with the simulated weapon, another inert cartridge, a knife, and two rifle scopes.
Furthermore, during the search, a .22 caliber "dumdum" or hollow-point cartridge was found. The Civil Guard noted that this type of ammunition is prohibited for private citizens due to its greater harmful capacity. For this reason, the man has been administratively sanctioned. An Alzira court has taken over the investigation.
