The program organized by the Association of Families of Alzheimer's (AFA) in Alzira begins today with various cultural events. At 6:30 PM, the MUMA will host the opening of the exhibition titled ‘Juga amb els meus records’ (Play with my memories). Subsequently, at 7:30 PM, the Casa de la Cultura will premiere the play ‘Pluja de Records’ (Rain of Memories), written by Ricardo Ull.
The theatrical work uses the metaphor of a strong thunderstorm breaking into a sunny day to symbolize the impact of Alzheimer's disease. The play not only addresses the difficulties associated with the illness but also highlights the fundamental role of caregivers and the importance of maintaining a hopeful perspective.
Tickets for the performance are symbolically priced at 3 euros, with all proceeds going to AFA to fund their activities. Tickets can be purchased at the association's headquarters or directly at the Casa de la Cultura before the show. Awareness activities will continue until Wednesday, September 23rd, including informative talks and solidarity lunches.
