The Algemesí City Council has sought to highlight the effort, consistency, and academic results of local students by presenting the Extraordinary Baccalaureate and Vocational Training Awards. The event, held at the Museum of the Festival, brought together the honored students, their families, and representatives from the educational community of the city's schools.
In this edition, students from IES Bernat Guinovart, IES Sant Vicent Ferrer, and Nuestra Señora de la Salud have been recognized. As a reward for their performance, the students received an accredited diploma along with a laptop.
In the Baccalaureate category, the awardees were Mar Braco, Josep Illana, Sergio Rosell, Andreu Barres, and Marc Ortega. For Vocational Training, the awards went to Jaume Girbés, Ana Luz, Miguel A. Rodríguez, and Juan Carlos Escartí. Amaia Otsoa received a special recognition for achieving the best academic record in the entire city.
Through these awards, the Algemesí City Council reaffirms its annual commitment to students who excel academically, also emphasizing the fundamental role of families and teachers. The ceremony marks the end of an educational stage and the beginning of a new academic and professional path for many of the recipients.
The Councilor for Culture and Education, Carmina Gómez, congratulated the young people, highlighting that behind each record lie "many hours of work, consistency, and responsibility." She added, "It is a pride to have young people in Algemesí who approach their education with such dedication, and we hope this recognition encourages them to continue working on the new challenges that now begin."
The City Council also extended its congratulations to the families and the teaching teams of the educational centers for their support and work throughout the students' educational journey.
