The Alberic City Council has completed the establishment of the Local Council for Children and Adolescents (CLIA), a project initiated by the Social Welfare department with funding from the Provincial Council of Valencia.

The initiative, which received a 6,000 euro grant, was made possible with support from the Valencian Government's Ministry of Justice, Transparency, and Participation, and the collaboration of Sequoia Pro. The project began with the creation of a coordination body responsible for planning and monitoring actions to ensure joint implementation by the involved stakeholders.
Throughout the project's development, participatory workshops and CLIA promotion activities were conducted, including specific sessions for adolescents. A key phase involved drafting the Regulations for the Local Council for Children and Adolescents, which has been published in a guide format to facilitate public consultation.
A cross-cutting communication and awareness strategy was implemented to highlight children's rights and promote knowledge of the CLIA among Alberic's population.
By completing this project, Alberic strengthens its commitment to children's rights and citizen participation through this new good governance tool.
