The new route will operate with two weekly flights during the summer season, replacing the current service to Berlin. This change is due to Ryanair's programming reorganization in the German capital following the closure of its operational base.
The General Director of Aerocas, Raquel París, highlighted that the agreement "guarantees Castellón Airport's connectivity with one of its main international markets through a new destination with high demand potential".
This new route strengthens the airport's presence in the German market and expands its network of destinations in the country. Memmingen, located in Bavaria, has a significant economic and tourist influence, including the metropolitan area of Munich.
This connection will complement the existing link to Düsseldorf Weeze, also operated by Ryanair, thus ensuring two regular connections to Germany during the 2027 summer season.
