The October 9th festivities in Benifaió will feature an institutional program organized by the City Council, commencing with a traditional breakfast at 9:00 AM in the main square. The breakfast will include "xocolatà" (hot chocolate) and ensaimadas, provided by the council.
Around 11:00 AM, the royal senyera will be lowered from the council's balcony, accompanied by authorities and the SAM Benifaió band. Subsequently, it will proceed to the parish church for a 'Te Deum' performed by the Cor Madrigal de Benifaió, honoring the flag under the presidency of municipal authorities.
Following the religious ceremony, a civic procession will take place to the intersection of Cavallers and Creu streets. At this spot, marked by a monolith indicating King Jaume I's passage during the conquest of Valencia and commemorating the 750th anniversary of his death, the mayor of Benifaió and the first deputy mayor, Xavier Martínez, will lay a laurel wreath.
During the procession, the group ‘Benifaió en dansa’ will perform Valencian dances, accompanied by the music of the tabal and dolçaina. Finally, the senyera will be solemnly raised back to the council's balcony.
The celebration will conclude in the same main square with the awarding of the Benifaió City Prizes 2026.
