Algemesí City Council has taken a significant step in modernizing its public safety resources with the addition of two new units to the Local Police fleet. These vehicles, being taller and larger, are designed to handle complex situations and travel in areas prone to water accumulation, thereby strengthening the police force's operational capabilities.
The renewal was carried out through a leasing contract, capitalizing on the expiration of the previous agreement. This new contract not only allows for improved features and increased financial resources allocated to each vehicle but also includes a complete detainee kit in the rear of both cars, an essential piece of equipment that enhances safety during transport.
The new vehicles are equipped with cutting-edge technology to optimize working conditions for officers and enhance their response capacity. Among the equipment are an approved defibrillator, a chip reader, a speed reduction device for static controls, a pepper spray launcher, a briefcase with six beacons for controls, an electric baton, and a body camera. These tools are crucial for ensuring the safety and effectiveness of the service.
These additions complement the previous fleet renewal, which began after the flood with the acquisition of six motorcycles and an all-terrain vehicle donated by the Diputació de València, later equipped for police use. Furthermore, donations from Madrid City Council have contributed to reinforcing the vehicle fleet and the operational capacity of the staff.
