Utiel is preparing for a weekend full of activities with the XXIX Gastronomic Fair and the III Agricultural Machinery Fair, which open today, October 16, and will run until Sunday, October 18.

Due to the forecast of rain, the Paseo de la Alameda in Utiel has been covered with marquees to ensure residents and visitors can enjoy the fair. The City Council and the organization have decided to postpone David Civera's concert, scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, at 10:00 PM, seeking an alternative date. However, the musical program will proceed with a performance by the local group 45 RPM.
The fair, which begins this afternoon at 6:00 PM, offers a wide variety of exhibitors with artisan tastings and products from different regions of Spain, including wineries, butcher shops, bakeries, and producers of oils and honeys. The fair will operate continuously from 11:00 AM to midnight, with tickets priced at €3 per glass of wine and plate.
Contests are a major attraction, featuring the professional category of the "Ciudad de Utiel" Ham Cutting Contest and the III GastroXef Junior edition for children. There will also be showcooking demonstrations, wine tastings, guided tours, book presentations, exhibitions, live music performances, and children's workshops.
The program includes a free ham cutting course at 6:30 PM, an official visit at 8:30 PM, and the presentation of the new tourist video “Utiel en tu interior 2026”. The fair will conclude with local specialties such as traditional cured meats, tortas magras, alajú, and quality wines from the DO Utiel-Requena.
