The Utiel City Council has declared two days of official mourning, from 12:00 PM on October 29th to 12:00 PM on October 31st, to mark the second anniversary of the devastating DANA that severely affected the town.

During this period, flags on all municipal public buildings will fly at half-mast with a black crepe, and official events organized by the municipal corporation will be suspended. The DANA, which occurred on October 29, 2024, resulted in the deaths of six residents and caused severe damage to infrastructure and buildings.
Additionally, six minutes of silence have been called in memory of those who passed away. The event will take place tomorrow, Thursday, October 29th, at 12:00 PM in the Town Hall Square.
The Utiel council invites all citizens to join this act as a show of support for the families and friends of the deceased residents, and as a gesture of solidarity and respect towards all victims of this serious catastrophe.
