The 29th Utiel Gastronomic Fair will be held from October 16-18 on the Paseo de la Alameda in Utiel. This year marks the twenty-ninth edition of the event, which will showcase a wide range of cultural, family, and gastronomic activities, blending the region's culinary traditions with gourmet tastings and wines from the Utiel-Requena Designation of Origin. The fair runs concurrently with the 3rd Agricultural Machinery Fair.
The musical lineup includes a performance by local group Mistelas Band on Friday the 16th, music by 45RPM, and a concert by David Civera on Saturday the 17th as part of his anniversary tour. On Sunday, DJ José Coll will present a remember session.
Food enthusiasts can enjoy culinary demonstrations by Chef Juan Ramos, tastings of bobal wines with the DO Utiel-Requena, and a showcooking tasting of Galician octopus with Pulpería Valeiras. There will also be a free ham carving workshop and the 3rd Professional Ham Carving Contest, alongside the children's competition Gastrochef Junior.
In terms of culture, literary works such as "Utiel Taurino" by Sasha Gusov and "Mi vida en los objetos" by Miguel Martínez will be presented. The event also features photographic exhibitions, a classic vehicle display, and the theatrical street parade "RAMBAL 26", which will lead into the 40th National Theater Contest “Ciudad de Utiel”.
Young attendees will have their own space at the Gastroludoteca, offering themed workshops and crafts. For tastings, official cups and plates can be purchased for €3. Additionally, free guided tours "Utiel en tu interior" are available, with reservations bookable on the official website.
