The Nules City Council has unveiled a revised program for the institutional events of October 9th, Valencian Community Day, and October 12th, National Celebration Day. This year, civil society will take a prominent role, with an emphasis on recognizing the contributions of local citizens and groups.
As explained today by the Mayor of Nules, David García, October 9th will be dedicated to honoring prominent individuals and entities within the municipality. Since Nules does not have its own specific Municipal Day, this occasion will serve as an opportunity for a special tribute. In addition to the traditional Civic Procession with the Royal Standard and the homage to King Jaume I, a recognition will be given to volunteers who assisted at the shelter established in Nules for those displaced by the Serra d’Espadà fire.
A new feature this year will be the permanent hoisting of the Valencian Senyera and the Spanish flag at the roundabout near the health center, at the intersection of Jaume I Avenue and Europa Avenue.
The October 12th event also includes novelties, focusing on acknowledging and thanking retired Nules professionals who dedicated their lives to public service in various security forces and bodies, such as the army, the Autonomous Police, and the Local Police. The celebration will involve the ceremonial procession of the Spanish flag from the Plaça Major to the Plaça del Pilar, where the flag will be raised and renewed.
