The second encounter, against Cesc Fàbregas's Como 1907, finished 1-1 in regular time, but Villarreal secured the victory in a penalty shootout thanks to successful shots from Moreno, Moleiro, and Mikautadze, along with a save by Luiz Júnior.
The upcoming tests for the Submarine include a match against French side RC Lens on Saturday, August 1st, which can be followed on Teledeporte at 8:00 PM, and later against Turkish club Galatasaray on August 8th, serving as the final fixture before the start of LaLiga EA Sports against Racing de Santander.
