During her visit to the forest fire command post, the ministerial official sought to clarify responsibilities regarding the management of forest areas. Addressing concerns about restrictions, she emphasized that the Forestry Law does not prevent pruning or vegetation removal.
The minister recalled that the management of these areas is a regional competence. She explained that the law requires regional administrations to submit a detailed annual plan for prevention, surveillance, and fire suppression, which must be strictly followed.
“"The Forestry Law says the opposite: you can prune, you can manage, you can remove vegetation mass."
Finally, she highlighted that national regulations establish logical measures to protect the territory, such as limiting the use of machinery in conditions that could trigger fires, thereby reinforcing safety in forest maintenance work.
