The supplier Facsa reported that this measure is being taken as a precaution due to the lack of water circulation in the network, which causes a drop in the chlorine levels necessary for purification. The restriction affects towns such as la Vilavella, Artana, Eslida, Aín, Alcudia de Veo, Tales, Alfondeguilla, Fuentes de Ayódar, Ayódar, Torralba del Pinar, Sueras, Villamalur, as well as various urbanizations in Onda and Betxí.
The only exception to this rule is La Vall d'Uixó. Although it was initially on the list, a second notification from the Department of Health excluded the city from the restriction, allowing residents of the Toledo, Carbonaire, Sumet, Sant Josep, Colonia San Antonio, and grupo la Cova neighborhoods to use water normally after being authorized to return home.

Health authorities remind residents that the water can still be used for other household tasks such as personal hygiene, cleaning, or flushing toilets.
