The virulent wildfire declared in Vall d’Uixó has reached the town of Betxí, forcing its inhabitants to be confined and several roads to be closed. The flames are approaching the CV-10 highway from the Betxí area, which connects to the A-7.
One of the affected routes is the CV-222, which links the CV-10 highway (near Betxí) with the CV-18 in Burriana. Traffic on this axis may be affected by the fire's progress and the work of the extinction and security teams. The Nules-Betxí road also shows disruptions with closures and restrictions due to the fire's proximity and emergency operations in the area bordering Artana.
High temperatures, strong gusts of wind, and low humidity continue to hinder extinction efforts, in which about twenty aerial resources are already working. It is recommended to avoid travel in areas close to Betxí and to follow official information regarding possible traffic disruptions.
The fire has caused the evacuation of 523 people, who have been transferred to designated centers in Moncofa (260 people at the Polifunctional Building), Nules (150 at the Municipal Pavilion), Onda (78 at the Municipal Sports Center), and Segorbe (35 at the seminary).
