The Chair of Childhood and Adolescence at the Polytechnic University of Valencia is organizing the fifth edition of its International Congress, dedicated to artificial intelligence and its relationship with the rights of children and adolescents. The event will take place on October 29 and 30, 2026.
Artificial intelligence offers significant opportunities but also poses risks from inadequate use that can affect the rights of children and adolescents. The Congress is conceived as a space for the exchange of knowledge, experiences, reflection, and debate among national and international specialists.
The event will be held in person at the Auditorium of the Higher Technical School of Computer Engineering (ETSINF) of the Polytechnic University of Valencia. It is aimed at professionals and researchers in the educational, legal, health, social, and technological fields, as well as members of the university community, public administration staff, and entities related to childhood and adolescence, and anyone interested in protecting these rights in the face of new technologies.
The congress objectives include reflecting on the opportunities and risks of artificial intelligence for children and adolescents, analyzing its impact on rights such as education, health, leisure, recreation, play, privacy, and comprehensive protection in the face of technological development.
The congress methodology will include inaugural and plenary lectures, round tables, and spaces for reflection and debate, with the participation of national and international professionals, faculty, researchers, and specialists.
