Over 700 people enjoyed the 14th edition of 'Caminant x Onda', an initiative combining sport and nature in the Sichar and La Atalaya surroundings, with a renewed route.

The 'Caminant x Onda' initiative brought together hundreds of hikers this Sunday, with over 700 people participating, including volunteers and organizers, for its 14th edition. The walk covered the natural environment of Sichar and La Atalaya, solidifying its position as a significant hiking event in the municipality.
The day began early from the Casal Jove, with departures organized in groups. Participants tackled a 13.5-kilometer route with a 275-meter positive elevation gain, allowing them to discover paths and trails within the municipal area, highlighting Onda's natural heritage.

"'Caminant x Onda' demonstrates that sport, nature, and community are a perfect combination to enjoy our region. Seeing so many people sharing this day, from early morning, is the best proof that this initiative remains more alive than ever after fourteen editions."

Carmina Ballester · Mayor of Onda
The mayor of Onda, Carmina Ballester, emphasized the initiative's importance in bringing the municipality's natural heritage closer to residents and visitors through outdoor sports. She highlighted the promotion of healthy lifestyle habits and the rediscovery of what Onda has to offer.
The event focused not only on the hiking route but also reinforced its social component. Participants enjoyed a lunch during the walk, and upon completion, a popular meal was held at the municipal sports area. The new covered court hosted children's activities, music, and entertainment, extending the gathering.
