Burriana City Council has put out to tender the fourth and final phase of the Great Collector, a strategic hydraulic infrastructure aimed at reducing the risk of flooding in the municipality.

This action, which has a budget of 1,121,518.94 euros, has an execution period of seven months. The service seeks to reinforce the evacuation of rainwater towards the Anna River, focusing especially on the maritime area and areas with a higher risk of water accumulation.
The project includes the connection of pipes from the indoor pool roundabout to the camino Fondo, as well as branches towards the Escorredor and the Generalitat Valenciana Square. A storm tank will also be installed, and sustainable drainage systems with permeable pavements will be applied to promote natural infiltration.
With the completion of this phase, scheduled for 2027, the total investment in this infrastructure will exceed 4.5 million euros. In addition to the drainage function, the facilities will allow for the reuse of stored water for the irrigation of green areas and municipal Leisure Gardens.
