The construction company BECSA S.A. is now carrying out the integral urbanization works on Cañada Blanch Avenue in Burriana, a project highly anticipated by residents. The intervention, with a budget of 1,342,897.62 euros and an execution period of eight months, aims to close the outer communication ring of the maritime area.
The project will effectively connect the Port road (CV-1860) with Jaime Chicharro Avenue (CV-18), Ecce Homo path, and La Pedrera. This new route will offer an alternative to Mediterrània Avenue, helping to decongest traffic and improve mobility between El Grao, the Port, and La Serratella.
The project will be developed in two sections, totaling approximately half a kilometer. The first will extend from the intersection with the Port road to Rosa dels Vents street, while the second will link Bruixola and Manuel Ferrer Granell streets. The urbanization will include paving, sidewalks, basic services, a new drainage system for intense rainfall episodes, a 2.5-meter bidirectional cycle lane with protective bands, landscaped areas with native species, and the construction of a section of the main wastewater collector.
The Councilor for Urban Planning, Mario Trullen, highlighted the fulfillment of the commitment to respect residents' tranquility during the summer, noting that the machinery is now working at full capacity to complete a vital road for the connection of the maritime area.
For his part, the mayor of Burriana, Jorge Monferrer Daudí, emphasized that the start of the works reflects a "Burriana on the move" that advances with solutions. He added that the completion of this avenue, along with other projects such as the new Port Health Center or the modernization of Camí Fondo, will comprehensively transform the maritime facade with modern, quality services for residents and tourists.
