The meeting served as the official introduction of the new management team of the Gaiatas Gestora, led by Esteban Gual, who conveyed to Mayor Begoña Carrasco and the Councilor for Festivals, Noelia Selma, their full willingness to collaborate with the City Council on future initiatives. Elisabeth Breva, Rubén Llansola, José Naranjo, and Joan Torrent also participated in the meeting.
The discussion focused on the importance of promoting and protecting the 'gaiata' monument, recognized as a Bien de Interés Cultural (BIC), as well as coordinating activities involving the 'gaiatero' collective. The mayor announced that a new meeting will be held in September with the Festival Board and relevant municipal technicians to plan joint actions.
One of the objectives of this future working session will be to promote the drafting of the project for the reform of the 'Gaiatas' Warehouse “Pepín Marco”, located in the old Municipal Slaughterhouse. The City Council aims to ensure that the final project meets the demands of the involved collectives.
