Les Coves de Vinromà is experiencing the most intense phase of its August Festivals with bullfighting events and large-scale gatherings, highlighting high participation and the absence of incidents.

The August festivals in Les Coves de Vinromà are heading into their final stretch with a program that combines traditional events, gastronomy, music, and bullfighting shows. According to the mayor, Irma Povedano, the celebrations are proceeding "super well," with high participation and no significant incidents to date.
The festivities officially began on Friday, August 14th, with the traditional float parade, the Sopar de Germanor (Brotherhood Dinner), which gathered around 600 people, and the performance by the orchestra Montana. The residents' response to the various proposals has been particularly noteworthy.
During the weekend, religious events such as the mass in honor of the Mare de Déu de l’Assumpció and the procession to the Mare de Déu d'Agost played a central role. The rain did not prevent the celebration of these events or the Ball del Pla, which filled the square on Saturday with the seniors' group and on Sunday with the children's and youth group.
The nights have been dominated by musical performances, with special mention to local singer-songwriter Rosio Cano and the group Kromàtics, who paid tribute to a recently deceased member. The mayor emphasizes that the nights have been "full of festivities."
Starting this Monday, the program focuses on bullfighting events. The day includes the construction of the bullring, a children's bull run, 'toros de corro' (bulls running in a circle), the 'desencaixonà' of a bull, and, at midnight, the traditional 'toro embolado' (bull with fire on its horns). The night will conclude with the Blanc-Negre party and a macro disco.
On Tuesday the 18th, the bullfighting program will continue, but the main event will be the traditional paella dinner, considered by the mayor "the most multitudinous event," with usual participation ranging between 1,200 and 1,500 people in Plaza Cervantes. The night will be followed by the Ball del Pla and a generational disco.
On Wednesday, after another day of bullfighting, the Pa i Porta will be celebrated, another important popular event, followed by the Ball del Pla and the performance by the orchestra The Lux.
One of the anticipated novelties is the Musical Alegría night, scheduled for the early hours of Thursday the 20th, promising a show with more acrobatics. The mayor describes it as "very cool."
On Friday the 21st, bulls will once again be the protagonists with the costume night, which will include a parade through the municipality and a macro disco at the Ravaleta track.
The program continues on Saturday the 22nd with more bullfighting events, an afternoon 'tardeo,' the Ball del Pla, and the performance by the orchestra Top Zero. The festivals will culminate on Sunday with the Día de la Joia, the traditional races, the farewell of the queen and her ladies, and a fireworks display.
With this calendar, Les Coves de Vinromà faces the coming days with an offering that combines tradition, bullfighting events, gastronomy, and music, turning the town's squares into a meeting point for residents and visitors.
