The thirtieth edition of FIB begins this Thursday afternoon in Benicàssim, with Franz Ferdinand, Lory Meyers, and Ultraligera headlining the first day's lineup. Since early morning, attendees, known as 'fibers', have started setting up to enjoy three days of music and celebration.
The 'fibers', coming from various places, have a clear plan: to take shelter from the heat during the day and enjoy their favorite artists' performances at night. Among the notable names on the lineup are also The Prodigy, Kaiser Chiefs, and La La Love You. This year, the festival is celebrating its anniversary, generating high expectations among attendees.
Attendees arrive well-prepared to face the high temperatures, bringing water and sunscreen. Some, even those coming from areas further south, feel the climate will be refreshing.
While the 'fibers' set up camp, the hoteliers in Benicàssim are preparing to welcome them. According to Juan Miralles, president of the Benicàssim Hotel Association, although customer numbers have decreased in recent years and only a few visitors spend money in the town, a good reception is anticipated.
