Borriol City Council maintains several active projects to regularize the urban situation in different parts of the municipality, including improvements to basic infrastructure and modifications to current regulations.

The council is working on the regularization of the La Coma urbanization, where investments have been planned for cleaning green areas, executing pedestrian crossings, and improving the drinking water and sewage network. These actions, which have a high budget, have been the subject of contentious-administrative appeals by the developer and the homeowners' association, who question the distribution of urbanization fees.
In parallel, the municipal plenary has approved modifications to the Subsidiary Planning Norms to make construction conditions in La Coma more flexible. The changes allow for a reduction in the minimum distance between houses and the road line, facilitating the installation of elements such as swimming pools or pergolas, and updating the building surface parameters per plot.
On the other hand, the municipality is advancing in the regularization of the Alcormar residential area, where an investment is planned to solve historical deficiencies such as the lack of sidewalks, the improvement of public lighting, and the renovation of the water supply network. The project, which will be financed through fees paid by the owners, seeks to put an end to the shortcomings that this area has been suffering for years.
Finally, in the ZU-7 sector, located northeast of the urban center, the council has approved the reparceling project. The objective is to improve the road connection between several streets and reorganize green areas, an action that the local government has been trying to resolve since 2008 to improve mobility in this part of Borriol.
