Almassora will take a significant step this coming Thursday with the presentation of the rapid road project designed to connect its urban center with the beach. This event will be attended by the third vice-president and counselor of Environment, Infrastructure, Territory, and Recovery of the Generalitat Valenciana, Vicente Martínez Mus, marking progress towards a solution long sought by the municipality.
The connection between Almassora's urban area and its coastline requires a modern, safe, and fast alternative. Residents need to travel between different parts of the municipality under better conditions, and the road network must be prepared for growth and mobility needs.
This historic demand is beginning to see a defined path. The government of the Generalitat Valenciana, led by the Partido Popular, is the first to financially consider this road in its budgets, taking a real step towards its realization and showing responsiveness to the needs communicated from Almassora.
It is recalled that while some now present themselves as great defenders of local interests, when the Partido Popular proposed amendments to the budgets of the Botànic governments for necessary investments in Almassora, the PSPV and Compromís voted against them.
Actions demonstrate commitment, and today there is a project underway and a Government of the Generalitat that has decided to include this infrastructure in its budgets. The City Council will continue working hand-in-hand with the Generalitat to defend Almassora's interests and expedite the processing.
The presented project looks towards the future, with a road that will bring the beach closer to the urban center and improve the municipality's overall mobility.
