Interested filmmakers have until October 1st to send their audiovisual creations and be considered for the official program. The festival venue will be Almassora's Casa de la Cultura, a recently renovated space.
After the call for entries closes, the organizing team, led by director Sergi González, will begin selecting the works to be screened during the event's six days. Last year's festival received a total of 1,266 short films from nearly 50 countries, setting a participation record and highlighting the festival's growing international reach.
The Councilor for Culture, Vicent Blay Casino, has emphasized the festival's progress, noting its ability to attract productions from various nationalities. Casino highlighted that ALMA has become a significant cultural event in the municipality and confirmed the City Council's commitment to continue offering diverse artistic programming to the public.
The eighth edition of the festival will run from November 9th to 14th. In addition to screening the selected short films, various related activities within the audiovisual sector are planned. The festival will conclude with an awards ceremony.
