The countdown has begun for the Pádel Tournament that will host the Pau Gasol Pavilion in l’Alfàs del Pi, between September 30 and October 4. The event, organized by the Mayorales de Sant Josep 2027, has the main objective of raising funds for the upcoming 2027 March festivals. With the start of the championship just around the corner, the organization reminds that there are still places available and invites fans to join the initiative.
The tournament is designed for players of different levels, offering categories for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th men's, as well as 4th and 5th women's. In addition to prizes for all categories, a popular bar will be set up, managed by the mayorales, serving as a meeting and social point. Registration costs 25 euros, which includes a welcome pack, and can be completed by calling 671 646 747.
This year, the Mayoralía of the Fiestas de Sant Josep falls to the Penya Barraka Foska, chaired by Paco Más. The group is working intensely on the preparations for the March 2027 celebrations, considering recreational and sporting initiatives like this tournament fundamental for fundraising and ensuring a varied festive program.
The Councilor for Festivals and Traditions of the l'Alfàs del Pi City Council, Sandra Gómez, has made a call to the public. "There's no time left before the tournament begins, and we want to encourage all residents and pádel lovers who are still considering it to take advantage of these last spots. There's no excuse not to enjoy a few days of sport and good atmosphere while contributing our bit to the Sant Josep festivals," she stated. Gómez also invited the public to attend the Pabellón Pau Gasol to enjoy the competition and the popular bar.
