The initiative, aimed at enhancing safety on high-traffic routes, includes the refurbishment of crosswalks on emblematic streets such as Ejércitos Españoles, Federico García Lorca, Ferrería, and Camí de la Mar, as well as on the main avenues: País Valencià, Marina Baixa, Albir, and Óscar Esplà. The goal is to optimize visibility for both drivers and pedestrians, ensuring safer crossings in commercial, school, and high-traffic areas.
The Councilor for Citizen Security, Toni Such, highlighted the importance of this intervention, which is part of the local government's commitment to citizen safety and urban mobility. Such stated that "road safety is an absolute priority, and these preventive maintenance actions on strategic roads are fundamental to ensuring safer, smoother, and more protected circulation for everyone, especially pedestrians."
This project is part of the annual road infrastructure maintenance and improvement plan that the council carries out to keep the municipality's streets and avenues in optimal condition.
