Villajoyosa activates its municipal sports offerings for the 2026/2027 academic year, featuring new proposals for adults and children, alongside expanded schedules and activities.

The Sports Department of the Villajoyosa City Council has launched its municipal program of Physical Activities for Adults and Children's Sports for the 2026/2027 academic year. This year's program includes a diverse range of activities, groups, and schedules across various municipal facilities, along with two notable new additions for the season.
The Councilor for Sports, Peyo Lloret, explained that the program incorporates sevillanas classes for adults and climbing within the children's program. These new offerings expand the available alternatives and provide fresh options for different age groups.
For adults, new sevillanas and rumba classes will be held on Fridays at 7:15 PM at the Marta Baldó Sports Center. This activity complements an existing program that includes yoga, circuit training, therapeutic gymnastics, Zumba, fitness, Pilates, Latin dance, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and Pakua, as well as specific groups for seniors.
Registration for adult activities will take place on September 14th and 15th at the Marta Baldó Sports Center, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
Regarding the children's program, the Sports Councilor highlighted the main novelty: the introduction of climbing. This activity will be available at the climbing wall, which opened in 2024 at the Maisa Lloret pavilion, a request frequently made by users. Climbing sessions will run on Mondays and Wednesdays in three groups: 5:15 PM for early childhood, 6:15 PM for primary school, and 7:15 PM for secondary school.
The children's offering is further enhanced with games and sports, multi-sports, skating, taekwondo, handball, karate, futsal, rhythmic gymnastics, dance, Zumba kids, basketball, rugby, Valencian pilota, and table tennis, with groups organized by age, category, and skill level.
Registrations for the children's program will be held on September 15th and 16th at the Marta Baldó Sports Center (C/ Triana s/n), from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
With the addition of sevillanas and climbing as key novelties, the Sports Department continues to expand a diverse program for children, youth, adults, and seniors, aiming to promote physical activity and provide options tailored to different tastes and schedules, as stated by Councilor Peyo Lloret.
