The initiative aims to encourage residents and visitors to explore local shops, enjoy special discounts and promotions, and participate in prize draws. The shopping route requires visiting all 14 participating stores to get a stamp on a card. As a guaranteed prize, everyone who completes the card will receive a gift, and furthermore, submitted cards will enter a draw for three vouchers of 100 euros each.
The establishments participating in this edition are: La Giacomina Restobar, Chaplin, Carmina Moda, Ángeles Llaz, Juguettos, Marvimundo, Calzavenida, Adela Sirvent, Mari d’Ávila, Kickers, Speed Queen, Rincón de Arte, Enigma, and Galano.
The Councilor for Commerce, Rosa Llorca, highlighted that the Shopping Night "allows us to bring commerce to the streets, generate activity, and, above all, showcase the wide variety of establishments we have in Villajoyosa." The councilor encouraged participation to discover shops, find opportunities, and support local traders.
This event coincides with the upcoming renewal of the collaboration agreement between the Villajoyosa City Council and Vilacomerç. The agreement, to be formalized by Mayor Marcos Zaragoza and the president of the merchants' association, Antonio Muñoz, will strengthen actions to promote and revitalize local commerce throughout 2026, with a municipal contribution of 6,500 euros.
Mayor Marcos Zaragoza emphasized that "local commerce is part of our city's identity and life" and reiterated the commitment to work together with Vilacomerç to generate activity and support traders. The City Council highlights that the agreement maintains a stable line of collaboration to increase the visibility of establishments and promote proximity consumption.
