A total of 32 artists participated in this initiative, which once again brought together painting, nature, and community by the sea under the theme ‘Mar i Art’ (Sea and Art). The gathering allowed participants to enjoy a day dedicated to painting in a natural environment.
Each artist had the freedom to choose their working location, as well as the technique and theme for their works. The activity, which is non-competitive, aims to foster creativity, the exchange of experiences, and bring art closer to the public in a relaxed atmosphere.
Patrick de Meirsman, Councilor for Relations with Collectives and Resident Clubs of L'Alfàs del Pi, visited the beach to greet the participants and learn firsthand about the development of this initiative.
Isabel Pedrola, president of ArtAvant, leads this association that has been promoting this artistic gathering for sixteen years. The event has become a regular fixture in the municipality's cultural agenda, offering artists and enthusiasts a space for their passion for painting and to enjoy an outdoor day.
ArtAvant is a national cultural association that brings together artists of various nationalities and whose main objectives are to give visibility to its members' work, bring art closer to citizens, and foster exchange and collaboration among artists.
Since its foundation in 2007, the association has organized exhibitions in various municipalities of the province of Alicante. In addition to the Painters' Gathering, it annually promotes a collective exhibition at the Casa de Cultura in L'Alfàs del Pi, thus contributing to the cultural dynamism of the municipality and fostering interest in the plastic arts.
