The initiative, dubbed ‘A town in the light of candles’, aims to offer a different perspective of the historic center, inviting residents and visitors to enjoy its beauty under a special light. This year's slogan, ‘La nit es farà calma i Xàbia es farà llum’ (The night will become calm and Xàbia will become light), emphasizes the intention to promote serenity and a good atmosphere.
The celebration will begin at 7:30 PM with a mass at the church of Sant Bertolomé. Subsequently, at 7:45 PM, the candles will be lit. The program includes a vigil at 8:30 PM with Hakuma, as well as more than six musical performances spread across different parts of the old town. These include Blues concerts, Bassudo, the Orquestra Jove del Centre Artístic Musical de Xàbia, Marek Brazda on piano, and a swing session with a live DJ.

The Mayor of Xàbia, Rosa Cardona, has highlighted the unique nature of the event, stating that it reflects the town's identity and attracts many families. Cardona emphasized that the proposal aligns with the family tourism model the municipality is promoting, allowing for the discovery of historic heritage in a peaceful environment. She also expressed gratitude for the community's involvement, which is essential for the successful execution of the Night of Saint Bartholomew.
As a new feature, the areas where candles will be installed will be expanded. Additionally, Ronda Norte and Príncipe de Asturias streets will be pedestrianized to facilitate attendee mobility. The event is organized by the Parish of Sant Bartomeu and the Xàbia City Council, with support from AMJASA and Xàbia Històrica.
