The company responsible for lifeguarding services in Calp, Eulen, has organized a drill on La Fossa beach to evaluate the team's response to an emergency situation.

The exercise recreated the scenario of a swimmer who, about 150 meters from the coast, suffered severe dizziness due to fatigue. The situation caused the person to ingest water and lose consciousness, thus activating the rescue protocol.
Two lifeguards launched into the sea to assist her and brought her to shore using an Eulen boat. Subsequently, basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) maneuvers were performed with the available resources.

"The objective of these types of practices is to control rescue times and coordination among the different lifeguards and emergency teams to ensure optimal service."

The drill included the simulation of an ambulance transfer to a hospital. Two inflatable boats participated in the practice, one from Eulen and another from the Local Police for reinforcement, in addition to an ambulance, health technicians, and personnel from the Local Police and Civil Protection.
