The Valencian Community endured a particularly harsh Wednesday morning, with minimum temperatures surpassing 25 degrees in numerous municipalities, hindering nighttime rest.

The heat accumulated during the day offered no respite in the Valencian Community, where the night was especially suffocating. Several municipalities recorded torrid minimums, clearly exceeding 25 degrees, according to AVAMET data. This situation causes a persistent feeling of mugginess in many areas.
The highest minimum temperature was recorded in Parcent, in El Repilá, with 28.3 degrees. Very close were La Vall de Laguar, in Benimaurell, with 27.9 degrees, and several stations in Pego, where the thermometer did not drop below 27.8 degrees. These figures, more typical of a mild afternoon, indicate the heat accumulation during the night.
AVAMET's ranking shows high minimums in towns in Alicante, Valencia, and Castellón, reflecting the lack of thermal relief before another extreme day. Among the locations with the highest minimums are Calp (27.7 ºC), Xàbia Montgó Natural Park (27.7 ºC), Atzeneta d’Albaida Town Hall (27.5 ºC), València Albors (27.0 ºC), and Benicàssim Cim del Bartolo (26.9 ºC), among others.
The difference between a tropical night (minimum not below 20 degrees) and a torrid night (minimum not below 25 degrees) lies in this threshold. Many observatories have widely exceeded this value, approaching the definition of an 'infernal night' or 'roent night' (from 30 degrees minimum), which prevents the recovery of bodies and environments.
This suffocating early morning comes before a day that could register temperatures above 44 degrees in some towns, with punctual values potentially exceeding 45 degrees, as recently occurred in la Pobla Llarga. The persistence of heat, even during the night, increases the feeling of exhaustion and makes rest difficult.
