A 69-year-old mountain cyclist has been rescued by helicopter from the bottom of the Barranc de l'Infern, located in La Vall de Laguar, in Marina Alta. The man was found exhausted, disoriented, and without water after attempting to descend the ravine on his bicycle.
The rescue team from the Alicante Provincial Firefighters Consortium had to intervene to extract him from the location. Once rescued, the firefighters provided him with plenty of water to rehydrate.
The Barranc de l'Infern is a hiking area, not suitable for mountain biking, where the cyclist got lost.
