The Montgó, in Marina Alta, is completely devoid of hikers due to the heatwave and the access ban decreed by the Generalitat Valenciana until Friday.

The Dénia Local Police has released a drone-recorded video showing the Montgó completely empty, with no human trace, under a relentless sun. The images attest to the ban on accessing the natural park, in effect until tomorrow, Friday, due to the extremely high risk of forest fires.
Marina Alta has already recorded three fires since the start of the heatwave, in Dénia, El Verger, and Xàbia. Today will be the third consecutive day with a orange alert for high temperatures, but no warnings are expected for Friday, when temperatures will drop, allowing the reopening of natural parks like Montgó and the Marjal de Pego.
Normally, at this time of year and during peak season, Montgó is usually full of hikers. However, the current heat alert has banned all activity, and the police drone has not detected any hikers.
The images, though unusual, evoke past confinement situations, when wildlife was the sole inhabitant of natural landscapes.
