The activity of a nightclub located in the Montgó natural park has caused unrest among local residents due to the extreme risk of wildfires during the current heatwave.

Residents of the Plana area have expressed their concern after observing how paths and trails in the area, which are closed by decree of the Generalitat Valenciana, were occupied by vehicles and customers of the business. The concern focuses on the possibility that any negligence could start a fire in an area with high forest density.
The Local Police have maintained active surveillance in the area, using drones with thermal cameras to monitor both the nightclub premises and the surroundings. These measures aim to quickly detect any potential fire outbreak in a context of very high risk.
Although the business has a license, the city council has required the management to draft a self-protection plan. The goal of this requirement is to ensure that the establishment has the necessary protocols to prevent fire and, in the event that one occurs, to be able to act quickly to contain and extinguish it.
