Following an eight-day garbage strike, Calp has begun an intensive process of cleaning and disinfecting its streets and bins, with the support of an external company.

The town of Calp has ended a week of accumulated dirt thanks to an agreement reached during the early hours between the concessionaire Acciona and its staff, putting an end to the garbage strike. However, sanitary problems persisted in various areas of the municipality, with fears of pest infestation.
This Saturday, in addition to the removal of garbage bag piles by the usual workers, disinfection tasks have been carried out. For this purpose, the local company Limpiezas Moreno has provided support, attending to the most sensitive points in the municipality. The photographs show the contrast between the state before, during, and after these works.
Next Monday, the details of the agreement between Acciona and the employees will be revealed, which, according to previous reports from this newspaper, would not include a large part of the workers' initial demands.
