The Municipal Trinquet of Benissa has begun the renovation of its flooring, an action that has not been carried out since its inauguration on October 20, 1957. The facility, which turns 69 this year, will see its deteriorated terrazzo replaced with new material, aiming to improve both the conditions of the venue and the practice of Valencian pilota.
This intervention, promoted by the Department of Sports, has an investment of 47,606.77 euros. The objective is to restore and optimize the conditions of this traditional sports space in Benissa, affected by wear and tear from continuous use and the passage of time.
The works, which started this week, are estimated to last three weeks. The trinquet is expected to be ready and operational before September 1st.

Adrián Cabrera, Councillor for Sports, highlighted the importance of this improvement, emphasizing the seven years of work by Benissa Activa to promote the pilota valenciana. He stressed the need to foster infrastructure that guarantees game quality and athlete safety.
