A fire declared this Thursday at 7:00 PM in the Negrals area of Dénia has forced an intense deployment of emergency services to control the flames.

The fire was located in an area between Camí de la Bota and Camí de Gandia. The proximity of the flames to numerous homes and a private clinic was the main point of concern during the extinguishing efforts, which were supported by aerial assets.
Firefighters managed to bring the situation under control within an hour. During the operation, the work of the helicopters could be observed as they carried out water drops in the affected area, which was visible from much of the urban center of Dénia and the northern part of the region.
This event occurs in a context of high temperatures, amidst a heatwave affecting the Marina Alta. It is the fifth fire recorded in the region in the last three days, highlighting the difficulty of the current situation for prevention and extinguishing efforts.
