The donation, comprising original materials including plans, photographs, and publications, alongside historical document copies gathered over years, consists of 75 documents dated between 1822 and 1989. These pieces detail the construction and management of Dénia's port, featuring projects by engineers such as Agustín de Elcoro (1848) and Rafael Yagüe (1892).
Documents related to the collection of port traffic duties (1904-1958) and brochures from the port's administrative commission with tariffs from 1931 and 1937, printed during the Civil War, are also included. The graphic material is notable for a collection of 877 photographs (copies from approximately 1930-1990) and two albums with negatives and slides, illustrating the port's evolution, the Nautical Club, the fish market, port buildings, and shipping companies like Iscomar, Flebasa, and Baleària.
Juan Ferrer Marsal, a professional who has balanced his career with a strong interest in local history, has focused his research on Dénia and its port. His donation also includes publications on the festivals honoring the Marquesa de Dénia (1599) and the shipwreck of the frigate Guadalupe (1799-1811).
