The Plaça de la Constitució in Dénia will be the venue for an event aiming to raise public awareness about addictions and highlight society's role in their prevention and management. The event offers a comprehensive view of addictions through various resources and professionals.
The program will commence at 4:00 PM with an institutional welcome by Melani Ivars, Councilor for Addiction Prevention at the Dénia City Council, and Elena Català Ortuño, Head of Mental Health and Addictions Service at the Dénia Health Department.
Following this, the UPCA Dénia team, featuring Encarna Càceres and Juanjo Sala, will present the session ‘Protective Factors: Family and Community’, emphasizing the importance of family and community environments in prevention.
Subsequently, at 4:45 PM, the UCA Dénia team, comprising Inma Camacho, Paula Cabezos, Clara Alemany, and Roger Monfort, will address ‘Protect Your Baby: Pregnancy and Drugs’.
The third presentation, at 5:15 PM, will be delivered by psychiatrist José Cervera, who will discuss ‘Dual Pathology: Can You Escape the Labyrinth?’.
Concluding the talks, at 5:45 PM, Olga Penadés from the AEPA Dénia Foundation will present ‘Insertion and Life Projects’, focusing on recovery processes and the challenges and opportunities associated with social reintegration.
Following the sessions, a coffee break will be held, also serving as a networking space for professionals, citizens, and organizations.
The event will continue at 6:45 PM with a panel discussion on ‘Social and Professional Co-responsibility in Addressing Addictions’, featuring representatives from prevention, outpatient care, mental health, psychiatry, and insertion. This forum aims to foster reflection on coordination between resources and societal involvement.
The event will conclude at 7:30 PM with a summary of the key ideas shared and a final message. Participation is free, with limited seating. Registration can be completed via QR code or email.
