The València Provincial Council has expressed its commitment to the Xàtiva Fair, aiming to elevate its status to an International Tourist Interest Festival.

During an institutional visit to the capital of La Costera, the president of the Council emphasized the importance of collaboration to promote the event's international recognition, currently a National Tourist Interest Festival. The delegation, accompanied by Mayor Roger Cerdà and members of the municipal corporation, also attended the start of the 37th edition of the Fair's cycling race, which gathered nearly 150 participants and was won by Emilio Llopis.
The Xàtiva Fair, showcasing artisanal and commercial products throughout the city streets, was highlighted as a fundamental showcase of the history, culture, and identity of Valencian municipalities. The provincial institution views these celebrations as a key element for promoting local heritage.
Furthermore, the positive economic impact generated by the Fair was emphasized, considering it an essential tool for revitalizing local and regional commerce. Each year, the event attracts thousands of visitors, both nationally and internationally, establishing itself as an economic driver for the region.
