The Station Park in Silla reopened its doors this Wednesday, September 30th, following an extensive renovation that has updated one of the municipality's most iconic green spaces.

The new park has been designed as a meeting point for all residents, incorporating new facilities for leisure, community, and outdoor culture. Among the most notable improvements are a spacious children's play area and a dedicated dog park, intended for pet owners.
The project also includes a small agora, conceived to host cultural activities and musical performances, particularly aimed at children and families. Furthermore, a promenade dedicated to the Dansa dels Porrots, a representative tradition of Silla, has been created, featuring informational panels to introduce the dance to younger generations.
Another emblematic figure recovered is the Dona Recolzada. Thanks to the restoration of the original 1987 sculpture by artist Rafael Pérez Asunción, and the installation of a replica, the park now welcomes visitors with two sculptures, restoring a feature fondly remembered by the town's residents.
To celebrate this reopening, the Silla Town Council has organized a grand party for October 8th. The day will include workshops, entertainment, children's activities, events for seniors, and live music by Beatles for Kids, among other surprises, for a family-friendly experience.
Coinciding with the reopening, the tender process for the park's new restaurant and kiosk has begun, aiming to expand the gastronomic offerings and revitalize the space, turning it into a social hub.
The park will also feature a sculpture honoring the victims of the DANA (a severe weather event) and recognizing the volunteers of Silla who assisted those affected, thereby keeping alive the municipality's memory and solidarity.
