The initiative, driven and coordinated by IES La Sénia in Paiporta with the collaboration of the General Directorate of Vocational Training, has brought together students from nine educational centers, professional families, administrations, companies, and businesses over recent months. The objective has been to transform academic knowledge into concrete solutions for the region.
The Mayor of Paiporta, Vicent Císcar, highlighted the project's direct impact on the municipality and its economic fabric, thanks to the work with the Department of Economy, Employment, and Commerce. Among the actions is a specific line of support for local commerce, addressing digitalization, invoicing, window dressing, and social media, as well as the development of digital tools.
The project has also generated proposals for gastronomic and solidarity initiatives, emergency solutions, sensorization projects, and the creation of a Challenge Labs Office, managed by students in internships with the City Council's support. A dimension particularly linked to Paiporta's recovery after the DANA, using vocational training as a tool for economic reactivation.
The Councilor for Economy, Employment, and Commerce, José Antonio Redondo, emphasizes the value of these collaborations that bring together administration, educational centers, and the economic sector, offering students opportunities to apply knowledge to real needs.
Among the presented proposals, the collaboration with the Higher Vocational Training Cycle in Emergency Coordination and Civil Protection from Xest stands out, offering prevention talks in Paiporta's infant and primary schools. The Councilor for General Administration, Miguel Ángel Ortiz, thanked the positive impact on young people in understanding emergency protocols.
Another notable project was the ‘Coca del Poble’, a solidarity product created by students to support affected bakeries and pastry shops. The Councilor for Education, Olga Sandrós, announced the distribution of this sweet at the upcoming Trobades d’Escoles en Valencià of l’Horta Sud in 2027.
The project's final day was held on September 23rd at the Sala del Raiolar in Paiporta, featuring presentations of the challenges and solutions developed by students and a round table to share experiences and discuss future continuations.
