A total of 182 young people from Torrent received assistance from the municipal service Nous Espais during the application period for the Valencian Government's 2026 Rent Bonus, which closed on September 11th.

From August 24th until the deadline, Nous Espais staff provided information and advice, both by phone and in person, on the requirements and documentation needed to access these grants. IT support was also offered for online processing.
Out of the 182 individuals assisted, 68 applications were completed and processed directly by Nous Espais on behalf of the young applicants to the Valencian Government. Other beneficiaries chose to submit their applications independently using digital certificates for direct personal tracking of their case.
The Rent Bonus is designed to facilitate the emancipation of individuals under 35 with regular income. Conditions include holding a rental contract, the property being their habitual and permanent residence, and rent payments made via bank transfer. In Torrent, the maximum monthly rent for a dwelling is 800 euros, and for a room, it is 400 euros.
The subsidy provides 250 euros per month for 24 months, up to a maximum of 6,000 euros per beneficiary, provided the established criteria are met. The municipal service has worked to make information accessible and facilitate administrative and online procedures.

"We want no young person in Torrent who can access these grants to miss out due to lack of knowledge or difficulties in the application process."
