The council has prioritized the recovery of the municipality following the Dana of October 29, 2024. Currently, work is underway on 26 projects funded by the Ministry of Territorial Policy with an investment exceeding 77 million euros, including the rehabilitation of the Town Hall and the Rajoleria Museum.
One of the most notable actions is the comprehensive renovation of the sewage network, budgeted at 90.67 million euros, covering 22 kilometers of collectors. This project incorporates sustainable drainage systems to prevent future flooding, with work already started on Lluís Vives street.
Regarding connections, the Pont Nou and Pont de l'Estació are already open to traffic, while the pedestrian bridge on Convent street is in operation. Future planning includes the reconstruction of the Pont Vell to increase the ravine's hydraulic capacity.
In addition to reconstruction, 30 million has been allocated to strategic projects such as the new IES La Sénia and CEIP l'Horta. The local government has also strengthened security by adding 15 Local Police officers and creating the Municipal Emergency Office.
