The municipal operation in Manises focuses on improving the road surface, correcting potholes, sinkholes, and other irregularities in over 30 different locations. These works, covering more than 200 m2, aim to ensure optimal traffic conditions for both vehicles and pedestrians.
This initiative is complemented by an investment approved in the extraordinary council meeting on August 6th, which will allocate one million euros to the comprehensive resurfacing of several city streets.
The Councilor for Urban Planning, Sandra Chozas, emphasized that these actions align with the commitment to enhance public spaces and address detected damage. "We are working in various parts of Manises, including streets in the urban center, urbanizations, and industrial zones," she stated, highlighting the planning process to prioritize the most urgent interventions. Chozas added that "maintaining roads in good condition is a matter of safety, accessibility, and urban quality".
The intervention areas include roads such as Constitución, Clemente Julián, Àngel Nadal, Luis Sancenón, Jarafuel, Camí del Racó, Vicente Vilar, Esports, Riba-roja, Joaquín Rodrigo, Torrent, Mora Gallego, Gandia, Magallanes, Colón, Sedaví, Maestrat, and Domeño streets. Work is also being carried out around Plaza de España, Plaza Miramar, and the industrial estates of La Cova, as well as near the Hospital de Manises.
The projects also address specific issues, such as tree root damage on Jarafuel street, where the affected area has been repaired. Sinkholes have been corrected on the roundabout of Avenida de los Esports and Plaza de España, along with damage to pedestrian crossings and roundabout access points.
