A total of 419 children, aged between 2 and 12 years, enjoyed the program developed between June 23rd and July 31st. This edition has established itself as a benchmark for 100% inclusive education, receiving very positive feedback from participating families.
The deputy mayor of Paiporta, Marian Val, and the Councilor for Education, Olga Sandrós, attended the closing event. Sandrós highlighted that the initiative goes beyond mere leisure, fostering new friendships, shared experiences, and facilitating family work-life balance during school holidays, confirming the viability of a fully inclusive summer school.
For her part, Marian Val emphasized that the Summer School exemplifies the model of town they are building, promoting transversal inclusion across all municipal services to ensure a more accessible and egalitarian Paiporta.
This was the first 100% inclusive municipal Summer School, with an adapted organization to ensure equitable participation for all children. The project supported 40 participants with specific educational support needs, 8 of whom required more specialized attention. This was made possible by a team of 63 professionals, including 22 inclusion specialists.
The methodology, based on individualized attention, coexistence, and active participation, allowed activities to be adapted to each participant's needs, creating an environment where diversity is an enriching element. Val stressed the importance of planning and a specialized human team to achieve this inclusion.
Olga Sandrós congratulated the team for their great coordination and follow-up work, noting that the school is the result of efforts to meet the needs of families and the youngest children.
Satisfaction surveys reinforced the positive balance, with an excellent average rating. Families particularly praised the team's professionalism, the positive atmosphere, and the commitment to inclusion, considering it a significant qualitative leap from previous years. The work of a multidisciplinary team and constant communication with families via Telegram were also highly valued aspects.
The Paiporta City Council thus consolidates a Summer School that combines education, leisure, and work-life balance, reinforcing inclusion as a fundamental pillar of municipal policies for children.
The mayor of Paiporta, Vicent Ciscar, highlighted the outcome, stating that the school embodies their understanding of public services: resources designed to meet families' needs with quality, proximity, and equal opportunities, committed to continuing to make Paiporta a municipality where all children can grow and participate without barriers.
