The alert for the fire, which occurred on the third floor of an eight-story building on Vicente Alexandre street, was received around 4:30 AM. According to the Provincial Consortium of Firefighters of Valencia, people were trapped inside.
The Information and Coordination Center for Emergencies (CICU) reported that two SAMU units, one Basic Life Support (SVB) unit, a non-assisted transport, and primary care personnel were dispatched to the scene to attend to the sixteen affected individuals, consisting of seven men and nine women.
Two of the affected individuals, men aged 52 and 69, had to be transferred to La Fe hospital in Valencia due to smoke inhalation. They were transported by an SVB unit and a non-assisted transport vehicle.
Six fire crews from Catarroja, Paterna, Torrent, and Silla, along with a sergeant from Torrent, worked to extinguish the fire, which was brought under control around 8:00 AM.
